What age range is ND Vision geared towards?
ND Vision is for high school students, whether they are just entering high school, in the middle of high school, or are just graduating from high school.
If I previously attended ND Vision, can I attend again this year?
Absolutely! Hundreds of young people have attended two, three, or even four conferences during their high school years…there is always more to explore! As a returning participant you will participate in "Vision Plus", where you and other returning participants will share a small group to build on your previous experience and witness to your growth. When you come to ND Vision, be sure to leave your expectations behind and open yourself to a new experience. We also ask that you try to bring at least one new participant with you.
Will the students be well chaperoned during the week?
Yes. Students will be closely chaperoned throughout the week. Currently, we have 60 Notre Dame undergraduate students who will serve as dorm chaperones and facilitators of the small groups. Dorms will be further supervised by dorm staff provided by the Office of Residence Life. In addition, there will be a number of other adults leading the large group sessions affiliated with the program who will have a strong presence throughout the week.
Is ND Vision for students considering
a vocation to religious life?
While students may be discerning a religious vocation, ND Vision
deals with vocation in the broad sense of the term How is
God calling us? How do our life choices reflect our commitment to
Christianity? We all have a vocation, and a variety of callings
will be considered during the week.
How much does it cost?
Cost of the program depends upon whether or not you sign up with other people. All applications require a $75 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit and must be postmarked or submitted online by May 16, 2008. The 2008 Registration Fees* (not including deposit) are as follows:
$300/person (groups of five or more)#
$325/person (without a group)
* Limited financial assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis. Please submit a scholarhip request to be considered.
# To receive the group discount, all applications must state the same group name and be sent in one package with all deposits when mailed, or be submitted within one day of each other electronically - no exceptions.
What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee covers all program activities, room and board from Monday evening to Friday morning, a program notebook, t-shirt, and more! The fee does not cover transportation to or from the University of Notre Dame.
What is ND Vision's refund policy?
The $75 deposit that is due with each individual's application is non-refundable and non-transferrable. The remainder of the registration fee may be refunded in full for cancellations received in writing by ND Vision no later than 10 days prior to the start of the participant's registered session. For example, cancellations for the June 23-27 session must be received by ND Vision no later than June 13 for the participant to be eligible for a refund. Participants who cancel with less than 10 days notice forfeit their entire fee.
