An experience of a lifetime. ND Vision opens your heart to finding the love of God in all people and situations with the support of an understanding high school and college community. 2007 Participant I learned what discipleship was and how it applies to my life. I obtained a deeper appreciation for the sacraments, and learned so much more about God when I though there couldn't be anything else out there. 2007 Participant The content of ND vision was age appropriate and effective to the students. I thought that the Mentors-in-Faith were well fomred and in-formed. The small group process was well designed and the keynote presentations were excellent. 2007 Program Observer (Diocesan Director) I learned that I finally had something to offer God. I know that we all have gifts but during my time at Notre Dame I learned from my Mentors-in-Faith that I was truly special and worth the time that God had put in to me. 2007 Participant Through ND Vision, I gained a better understanding of the importance of the Sacraments in our Church. God also reinforced these few things that I will now list: (1) Slow down to hear where and how God speaks to YOU; (2) holiness does NOT equal perfection; (3) allow yourself to be who you were created to be; (4) sometimes God calls you subtley, other times it is loud and clear; (5) age means nothing: share and reflect the image of God; (6) we are disciples, reflections of the RISEN Christ; (7) cling to Christ in brokenness, and pray for wisdom; (8) suffering is an opportunity to become closer to Christ; (9) the more you struggle for control, the more you'll lose it; (10) there is a rhythm of the Saints; (11) Liturgy is more than a word: it's the work of God on people of the Church; and finally (12) Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future. 2007 Participant This year was my second year at ND Vision, but I still had no idea how much of an impact it would make on my life and my faith. It is just amazing the way ND Vision is able to motivate me. It teaches me a lot about myself and the world by challenging my faith and encouraging me to be myself. I learned to make the most of the gifts God blessed me with and never sacrifice my beliefs to "fit in." 2006 & 2007 Participant My faith definitely expanded and flourished in my week at ND Vision. I could feel God's presence during the entire week. I felt closer to Gad, and I felt like prayer was more meaningful than ever before. I feel like my role as a disciple of Christ is now more clear, and my approach in following Him is now more defined. 2007 Participant I came to ND Vision not even really considering myself religous at all. I quit my confirmation class about two years ago becasue I did not feel comfortable making the life long commitment to being in the Church just yet. I wanted to make sure I understood everything that made up the Church. Even though I am still not confirmed, I would definetly consider ND Vision a great help for me in understanding the Christian faith and its role in my life. 2007 Participant As a newbie Catholic, being at ND Vision I really learned a lot more than I expected. My favorite part was small groups being surrounded by people my own age, all at different stages in their faith, from all over the country and we were all able to relate and help each other. 2007 Participant |
