Mary received the ultimate call from God – God called her, a virgin, to be the mother of Jesus. As a teenager, probably around fourteen years old, Mary must have been terrified by what this would mean for her. Nevertheless, she gathered her courage, drew on her faith in God, and agreed to take on this challenging role.
